FRIDAY 13 MARCH / 4 - 6PM
Edited by Jade Lillie, with Kate Larsen, Cara Kirkwood, and Jax Jacki Brown
Marking the release of this brilliant new resource for community-engaged practitioners, artists, and cultural workers, La Boite is excited to host the Queensland leg of Jade Lillie’s national book launch.
Featuring 20 curated chapters from thought leaders across the arts sector, this practitioner-led book includes insights into the ethics and logistics of working in community contexts – from collaboration and leadership to platforming and duty of care.
Hosted by La Boite’s Executive Director, Zohar Spatz, the launch event will feature a panel conversation with Queensland based contributors to the book, including Lenine Bourke (Artist and Producer, The Walking Neighbourhood), Rosie Dennis (Artistic Director, Bleach), and Jade Lillie, curator and editor.
This project has been assisted by the Australian Government through the Australia Council, its arts funding and advisory body. This project is also supported by the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria and is an outcome from Jade Lillie’s time as a 2018/19 Sidney Myer Creative Fellow.
