Daley Rangi
#ABOUT
Daley Rangi is a Māori antidisciplinary artist, speaking truth to power and reorienting hierarchies. #PLAY SYNOPSIS
Tātaraimaka-moana (Beautiful Place by the Sea) is a bold and refreshing new work journeying through transgenerational trauma and ecological sovereignty. An intimate exploration of cultural and climate apocalypse from the perspective of tangata whenua, the stories of three lost souls intertwine: the ebb and flow of a polluted ocean under a sky on fire. Inspired by ancestry, and fuelled by injustice, Tātaraimaka-moana is an evocative, lyrical voyage of unearthing hope within the hopeless and finding your way back home.
