Partnership Opportunities
#Be a part of La Boite's Story
For over 100 years, La Boite Theatre - Australia's oldest continuously running theatre company - has created powerful connections between artists and audiences through stories that entertain, move and inspire. As we enter our second century, we invite you to be part of this legacy.
La Boite pushes the boundaries of theatre, championing cultural equity, social cohesion and bold storytelling. We provide vital pathways for Queensland and Australian artists, nurturing their careers from emerging to established, and sharing their work with audiences in Brisbane and beyond.
As a not-for-profit, we rely on the generosity of our community to:
- Champion bold Australian storytelling in the iconic Roundhouse Theatre
- Nurture fresh voices and launch careers on national and international stages
- Create transformative productions that connect communities and showcase Queensland talent to the world

#Our Mission
To create critical stories that champion diversity, because we all belong
We tell stories that represent the multiple diverse identities of contemporary Australia.
We are committed to addressing underrepresentation and creating opportunity. With diversity central to innovation, access and inclusion are key to unlocking its potential.
We also know that diverse organisations are safer, more productive and support staff tenure.
For us diversity includes cultural background and ethnicity, age, gender, gender identity, disability, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, language and education. Diversity also includes skills, working style, location and life experiences.
If your company has a Diversity and Inclusion program, our projects and productions provide opportunities for you to demonstrate your commitment.
Create transformative and vital theatre experiences that inspires emerging leaders across Australia.
Our Australian-wide Youth and Education program nurtures and develops the next generation of theatre artists – writers, directors, actors, technicians and more.
Our participatory programs and curriculum aligned productions provide educational and training experiences for school students, teachers and emerging artists.
We know that jobs of the future will require social skills in a way we have never seen before.
Responding to the challenges of the 21 century requires critical and creative thinking combined with imagination, innovation and the skills that come from our training programs.
If your company is excited about supporting the next generation of creative thinkers and makers, let us tell you about our plans
Create pathways for communities to thrive and connect
We witness the transformative storytelling that can happen in communities.
We are passionate connectors and with your support, we can deliver opportunities for communities to feel connected, see themselves and the stories on our stages.
Our community is broad and diverse; urban and regional, individuals of all ages, First Nations, LGBTQI+, CALD, d/Disabled and the wider arts sector and our stories are their stories.
Working together we can create work specific to story-telling for communities or your organisation.
Strategic Plan 2027-2029
La Boite enters the next chapter of its second century with a clear ambition: to make great theatre, grow and connect with audiences, invest in artists and build an organisation capable of thriving for generations to come.
This revised strategy sharpens La Boite’s direction for 2027–2029. It builds on the foundations of the existing Strategic Plan while responding to what we have heard from our audiences, artists and stakeholders, and to the changing environment in which La Boite operates.
