How To Get Here
La Boite Theatre is located in QUT’s Kelvin Grove Campus, just up from Kelvin Grove Village - home to a retail precinct and several restaurants.
Please find recommendations below on how to get here, so you can easily join us for a magical time at the theatre!
Pre-paid parking
Visitors to La Boite Theatre can now purchase a Pre-paid Carpark^ for the evening.
Book a spot ahead of your event for just $10 on weekdays or for $5 weekends, then head into the QUT Q Block carpark (entrance via 13 School Street) located a 300-metre stroll from the venue.
When you arrive at La Boite, present the ticket received on entry to the carpark, to the Box Office team for validation.
Make sure you secure your spot early to ensure a stress-free arrival for your next show!
^ Limited availability - not available for all events. Tickets must be pre-purchased. La Boite allocation is available from 4.30pm – midnight on weekdays and 8.00am – midnight on weekends. Carpark has a 2.1m height clearance. Accessible permit parking available. T&Cs apply.
Alternative Parking Options
Limited street parking is available around Kelvin Grove Village including on Gona Parade, Musk Avenue, Carraway Street and Blamey Street.
QUT operates a Pay-&-Display at Z9 Block, directly opposite La Boite Theatre along with other options around the precinct.
Secure Parking operates a carpark located on Gona Parade and Musk Avenue (opposite the Roundhouse).
Wilson Parking operates a carpark under Woolworths in the Urban Village with a flat rate for evening parking.
If you haven’t pre-booked your park, we strongly recommend arriving with ample time before your show to secure a spot.
Rideshare and Drop off
There is a designated drop off zone in front of our main entrance on Gona Parade for taxis, rideshares and visitors requiring ground level access.
Simply set La Boite Theatre as your pick-up or drop off location.
Active and Public Transport
If you prefer walking, scooting or cycling, there are great footpaths and off-road cycle ways near La Boite for you to access.

Buses: Bus stop #12 on Kelvin Grove Road is a 2-minute walk from the La Boite Theatre.
Train: Roma Street Station is the closest train station, where you can connect with bus services that will bring you to Kelvin Grove.
Normanby Station and QUT Kelvin Grove Station are a 10-minute walk away. Routes include: routes 66, 325, 330, 340, 345, 390.
