La Boite’s artist development program Assembly has long been a place for new voices, bold ideas and creative collaboration. Now, Assembly Pathways opens the door to what comes next.
Supported by Arts Queensland, Assembly Pathways creates meaningful opportunities for Assembly alumni beyond the initial program, supporting artists to deepen their practice, build creative connections and step to the mainstage.
Across two streams, Artists-in-Residence and Next Step, a new generation of Assembly artists will be embedded in the company over the next 12 months, with dedicated support, development opportunities and connections across La Boite’s artistic program.
ASSEMBLY PATHWAYS: ARTISTS-IN-RESIDENCE
Three Assembly alumni will join La Boite as Artists-in-Residence, working in La Boite’s 2027 Mainstage season, developing their creative practice, and contributing to the artistic life of the company.

ASSEMBLY PATHWAYS: NEXT STEP
Next Step supports one group from Assembly alumni to further develop their work created in their initial Assembly process.
Together, these artists represent La Boite’s commitment to artists, and to fostering meaningful pathways into professional work.
La Boite’s Assembly Pathways artists were chosen through a selection process in 2026, and was available exclusively to artists who have previously participated in La Boite’s Assembly program.
All the details will be revealed when the La Boite Theatre 2027 Season launches in November!
